An animated comedy about its title character, “Chozen,” a gay white rapper fresh out of prison. Armed with a new message, Chozen is on a quest for redemption and to claim his rightful position as the world’s top rap artist. His music and lyrics take aim at the stereotypes of machismo and misogyny that is synonymous with rap music. And his new world view has been shaped by his time in prison.

Doc McStuffins is an animated pre-school children’s television series produced by Brown Bag Films. It was created and executive produced by Humanitas Prize and Emmy Award-winner Chris Nee and premiered on March 23, 2012 on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. The series is about a six-year-old girl who can “fix” toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends.

The series received positive reviews due to the show’s concept and the main character, on its portrayal about African-Americans in a Disney series. Chris Nee describes the series as “Cheers for Preschoolers”.

Shake It Up is an American sitcom airing on Disney Channel in the United States. The series premiered on November 7, 2010. Created by Chris Thompson and starring Bella Thorne and Zendaya, the show follows the adventures of CeCe Jones and Rocky Blue as they star as background dancers on a local show, Shake It Up Chicago. It also chronicles their misadventures on- and off-set, and their troubles and rising social status at school. Davis Cleveland, Roshon Fegan, Adam Irigoyen, Kenton Duty and Caroline Sunshine also are other main cast members in the series.

The show’s original concept was for Disney to create a female buddy comedy, only with a dance aspect.
