Jarod is a Pretender – a genius whose exceptional intelligence allows him to assume various identities at will, be it doctor, test pilot or lawyer. Taken from his parents at an early age, Jarod was brought up in the Centre, a think-tank facility where he believed his computer-like mind was being used to benefit manking. But when he learned the simulations he solved were being sold to the highest-bidder no matter what their intent, Jarod escaped. Now on the run, Jarod embarks on a search for his true identity while also attempting to balance out any wrong his simulations have caused by helping people who are as powerless as he once was.

Teletubbies is a British BBC children’s television series targeted at pre-school viewers and produced from 31 March 1997 to 5 January 2001 by Ragdoll Productions. It was created by Ragdoll’s creative director Anne Wood CBE and Andrew Davenport, who wrote each of the show’s 365 episodes. The programme’s original narrator was Tim Whitnall. Teletubbies was also aired internationally in the United States on the Public Broadcasting Service public television on 6 April 1998 and aired until 19 June 2005. It would continue to air reruns until 29 August 2008, when it was pulled from the schedule along with Mister Rogers Neighborhood and Boohbah. In 2002, production was cancelled and it was announced that no new episodes would be produced, with the last episode being aired on 5 January 2001. However, a total of 365 episodes had been produced – enough for a full year.

Teletubbies was controversial for this reason. Other critics felt the show was insufficiently educational.

The Mighty B! is an American animated television series co-created by Amy Poehler, Cynthia True and Erik Wiese for Nickelodeon. The series centers on Bessie Higgenbottom, an ambitious Honeybee girl scout who believes she will become The Mighty B if she collects every Honeybee badge. Bessie lives in San Francisco with her single mother Hilary, brother Ben and dog Happy. Poehler provides the voice of Bessie, who is loosely based on a character Poehler played on the improvisational comedy troupes Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade.

The Mighty B! premiered on Saturday, April 26, 2008, which was the morning after Poehler’s film Baby Mama had premiered. She said that she would “go to bed and stay in my pajamas until 10:30 a.m. and watch Mighty B”. Since its debut, the show has attracted an average 3.1 million viewers. In the second quarter of 2008, the show ranked among the top five animated programs on television.

In September 2008, the show was renewed for a second season with 20 episodes that premiered on September 21, 2009. The second season was the last, since The Mighty B! was not featured in Nickelodeon’s list of renewed shows for the 2010–2011 TV season. The Mighty B! has been nominated for six Annie Awards and four Daytime Emmy Awards, so far winning one Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation.
