He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is an American animated television series produced by Filmation based on Mattel’s successful toy line Masters of the Universe. The show, often referred to as simply He-Man, was one of the most popular animated children’s shows of the 1980s, and has retained a heavy cult following to this day.

It made its television debut in 1983 and ran until 1985, consisting of two seasons of 65 episodes each. Reruns continued to air in syndication until 1988, at which point USA Network bought the rights to the series. USA aired He-Man until September 1990. Reruns of the show are no longer being broadcast on the Qubo Night Owl in the U.S. Currently the show is viewed on Retro Television Network, on Me-TV, and in Canada on Teletoon Retro.

Spin-off media include an anime, three CD soundtracks, a home video collection, and a series of video games, as well as various licensed merchandise. In Canada, the series premiered in French on Télétoon on February 28, 2011, in English on Teletoon on March 14, 2011, and on Disney Channel in the United States on June 27, 2011. The show was created by Fresh TV, creators of 6teen and Total Drama. The show follows Ethan Morgan, who, in the television film, learns that his babysitter Sarah is a vampire. In the film, he learns he is able to have visions and his best friend Benny Weir is a spellmaster. The series follows the three as they take on supernatural forces and have adventures, with occasional help from fellow vampires Rory and Erica, while dealing with the troubles of regular high school life.

A second season was confirmed to start production in September 2011 and it first premiered on Disney Channel on June 29, 2012, it premiered on Teletoon September 6, 2012. Télétoon started featuring season 2 sneak-peak episodes on October 28, 2012 and premiered it on January 10, 2013. On September 18, 2013 Fresh TV Inc. said that there will be no season 3 as of now, but they are exploring a possible second movie.

The Mask aka The Mask: Animated Series is an American animated television series based on the film of the same name. The show ran for two seasons, from August 12, 1995 to March 8, 1997, on CBS, and spawned its own short-run comic book series, Adventures of The Mask. John Arcudi, former writer of the original comics, penned two episodes of the cartoon. It originally was played during the CBS Kidshow line-up on Saturday mornings, but after being cancelled, it was moved to Cartoon Network. The show also ran in syndication.
