Life on Mars is a science fiction crime drama television series which originally aired on ABC from October 9, 2008 to April 1, 2009. It is an adaptation of the BAFTA-winning original UK series of the same name produced by the BBC. The series was co-produced by Kudos Film & Television, 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios.

The series tells the story of New York City police detective Sam Tyler, who, after being struck by a car in 2008, regains consciousness in 1973. Fringing between multiple genres, including thriller, science fiction and police procedural, the series remained ambiguous regarding its central plot, with the character himself unsure about his situation. The series also starred Harvey Keitel, Jonathan Murphy, Michael Imperioli, and Gretchen Mol.

Life on Mars garnered critical praise for its premise, acting, and depiction of the 1970s but suffered from a declining viewership after its premiere and a two-month hiatus. ABC announced on March 2, 2009 that it would not be ordering a second season. A DVD set of the complete series was released on September 29, 2009.

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is an American animated television series by Marvel Animation in cooperation with Film Roman, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. The show debuted both on Disney XD and online in the fall of 2010, starting with a 20-part micro-series.

Marvel Entertainment, LLC and Disney XD announced a “new Marvel Universe” programming block, named Marvel Universe, which began broadcasting in April 2012 and included the second season of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! and the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man.

However, it also tends to utilize material from all eras of the comic’s run as well as other sources, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The series was replaced by Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, which premiered on July 7, 2013.

Atomic Betty is a Canadian-French animated science fantasy television series produced by Atomic Cartoons, Breakthrough Films & Television, and Tele Images Kids. The series has once again begun airing on U.S. TV on The Hub on October 10, 2010; it previously aired on Cartoon Network from September 2004 through December 2005. In the U.S, it is a Cartoon Cartoon for Cartoon Network. The series’ last episode aired in January 29, 2008 on the Canadian channel Teletoon.

A sequel series titled Atomic Betty Redux is currently planned for production, which shows Atomic Betty as a much taller and prettier seventeen-year old teenager and an even stronger and more powerful superheroine/Galactic Guardian than ever before since the original series. It is planned for late 2013 and the middle of 2014.
